Hana
Filled with 600 curves and 54 bridges, the rugged road to Hana leads you through verdant rainforests, glittering waterfalls and disarmingly lovely views of the sea and mountains. This unique town has grown as a hot tourist destination, especially since the Hana Highway was paved in 1984. Once you arrive, stop and smell the plumerias, then stroll along the colorful beaches nearby. For further exploration, hike up the Pipwai Trail to 400-foot Waimoku Falls, swim in one of the Seven Sacred Pools, also known as Oheo Gulch, located in Haleakala National Park, or escape to Waianapanapa State Park for snorkeling and more exciting activities.
